How Interior Design Takes Care of You: The Astramed Clinic Project by Dafna and Aiko

As you step into an Astramed Clinic, you instantly feel the difference — the space doesn’t make you anxious, it puts you at ease. Medical facilities are usually linked with coldness, sterility, and stress. Our goal was completely different: to design an environment that feels calm, welcoming, and comforting from the very first moment.

Astramed Clinic is a “self-care center,” where patients receive therapeutic, aesthetic, and physiotherapy services, among others. The main goal in designing the interior was to build an atmosphere that reduces emotional stress and helps patients feel relaxed and safe. The waiting areas, in particular, were meant to do more than just serve their function. They were designed to ease anxiety and foster trust.

Special attention was given to both indoor and outdoor furniture, ensuring it was comfortable, weather-resistant, easy to maintain, and visually harmonious. Another key objective was to balance decorative aesthetics with practicality so that the design looked modern while fully meeting the standards of a medical environment.

We approached the project with a comprehensive mindset and a deep respect for detail. The space features woven outdoor furniture from Aiko, designed for relaxation zones. The materials are resistant to sunlight, humidity, and frequent use. Aiko’s solutions are built to withstand Tashkent’s climate without losing their quality or appearance.

Inside the clinic, the waiting areas are furnished with soft armchairs, muted colors, and gentle lighting that doesn’t strain eyes. Particular care was taken with the materials — surfaces are easy to clean and disinfect, resistant to cleaning agents, and free from unnecessary elements where dust could accumulate.

The design reflects Astramed’s brand philosophy: respect for people, attention to appearance, and a desire to create an environment where health and well-being are not just medical concepts but a natural part of everyday life.
